Heat transfer is the process by which disperse dyes are first painted on to plain paper and dried. The paper is then placed face down against a synthetic fabric and heat is applied. The dye becomes a vapor and moves from the paper to the cloth, creating a reverse pattern from that of the paper permanently. These techniques are suitable for clothing and for interior design projects.
